eric + allyson were married on saturday! now they're off honeymooning in hawaii... more images to come.

Clean Up!

we've been doing a bit of cleaning and de-cluttering at our place. it seems that the more space and closets we have the more we tend to fill it up. my friend julia prompted this big project and has been a huge help! alec gave the ok but he needed to go through his stuff on his own and he's been good about purging junk.

by the end of sunday we've made major progress! in the past week or so we've filled a HUGE bag full of old paperwork to take to the shredding company, made a couple drop offs to salvation army and got everything organized into clear bins. plus we're doing a little bit of feng shui too so i've sold stuff on craigslist. it feels great to be free of all the clutter, old bills and junk!

it makes it easier to have someone there with you to really make some decisions... julia has been pretty good with enforcing the "keep or toss" flow of things. i've watched plenty of clean house and it's a lot harder than i thought to get rid of stuff.

here's just a small stack of bins with things all organized and labeled before going into the closet. the "before" picture would just give you a headache. stay tuned for more before/after photos as we start to paint and decorate.

a few weeks ago i hung out with eric + allyson at dolores park to get some fun, casual engagement photos. i love how they crack each other up!

i'm looking forward to their wedding next weekend at the highland ranch!

Holiday Cards!

the holidays aren't too far away! i only have a few more available time slots so contact me if you're interested in getting some family portraits for the holidays.

The Delta

nancy + omar's wedding on saturday took place in the backyard of her grandma's home near the delta. it was a beautiful day...

Fig + Marisol | Wedding

wow... this wedding was a big party! fig + marisol held their ceremony and the party reception at the swedish american hall which is right on market street. they were on a stage for the ceremony and it had a show feel to it. marisol's brother officiated the ceremony and it was heartfelt, funny and sweet. i've never been to a wedding with so much audience participation... it was awesome!

their wedding was definitely infused with their styles! marisol's outfit was amazing... i'd never seen something like it. the whole outfit was custom made by dark garden. if you know fig you know that he's into sewing his own fashions which often includes crafting with camouflage. you could say that camouflage is their "team" color! the scissor cuff links were a gift to him from marisol, it was perfect.

alec and i had a fun time shooting the wedding and meeting their families and more of their friends. and i have to give a special thanks to alec for capturing some hot shots of the guys getting ready while i was with the girls!

San Rafael | At Home

we've been friends with evan + nicole for some time. evan and i first met back in college, then we worked at the same company for a bit then they became our neighbors. earlier in the year they made the move to san rafael and started a family. i was so happy to get a few maternity photos and then finally meet little baby nolan! such a cute baby!

Missy + Ginna | Wedding

missy + ginna were married in august and had a sweet wedding. the ceremony was held at their church holy innocents followed by an afternoon reception at the trocadero house in stern grove. the day went smoothly and i love the laid back fun vibe. it helped that leslie campbell was there to make sure things were on schedule and went smoothly.

the cake and lunch buffet was done by liberty cafe which was delicious. missy + ginna used bambu biodegrable table ware which was such a fantastic idea!

The New Academy!

the new california academy of sciences is finally open! we got a chance to check it out before the HUGE grand opening! i can't wait to take my nephew.
